The Cottage

Twenty-one Low Green is a recently modernised Victorian 2 bedroom house located in the picturesque village of Gainford and situated on the edge of Gainford Green in Teesdale County Durham and near North Yorkshire.

Gainford benefits from a number of village shops including a post office, butchers and grocers and also has two pubs, one located on the opposite side of the village green also caters for food. Also across the green is the Laurels Coffee Shop.

The area is a walker’s paradise literally as soon as one steps out the front door. The river Tees is within a 100 yards providing a haven for fishermen and ramblers alike.

Accommodation Comprises;

Ground Floor

  • Kitchen with electric cooker, gas hobs, washing machine and drier, fridge/freezer, microwave & breakfast table (seats 4).
  • Living/Dining Room seating 6 including sofa-bed (sleeps 2)

Bedrooms

  • 2 bedrooms upstairs (1 double and 1 twin) sleeping 4 plus cot on request.
  • En-suite to main bedroom with wc, basin and power shower
  • Main bathroom upstairs with bath, basin and wc and airing cupboard

  • A stair-lift is fitted for the elderly and/or disabled.
  • A welcome food pack on your arrival.
  • Central heating throughout with gas and electricity included in the price.
  • Phone is connected for incoming calls and local, national and emergency outgoing calls.
  • Towels and linen provided.
  • Ample car parking in front of the house and around the village green.
  • Television and DVD player provided

Outside

The front of the house is on the edge of the village green where often families are found picnicing, playing games and having BBQs (a small BBQ is provided).

There is a small yard to the side of the house accessed through an external door to the kitchen.
